as many of you will already be aware, tfer and i have broken up. that being the case, i won't be using this livejournal again. i might end up setting up my own, in which case i'll post a comment here under that name. otherwise, any posts from novahos in the future will be from tfer.

we unsubscribed from telstra a while ago, due to their inexcusably expensive cable and general choad-suckity-ness. unbelievably, they have managed to fuck us over again even though we are now with iinet. seems they have given our home phone number to someone else, so all calls to our home phone go to someone else. we now have a new phone number, which means our adsl doesn't work! also, even though it was clearly a fuck up at the exchange (it happened at midnight on thursday - i'm sure they don't have people doing cable work at midnight) they won't even look at the problem till monday.

plus, they won't talk to us about the problem because we aren't telstra customers!

so, we won't be online and won't be contactable at home. mobiles still work though.

I discovered today I'd accidentally deleted a document from a meeting in December. Oh NOES!

With a bit of hunting I found a program for mac that undeletes very well indeed. BUT! it only lets you recover 1Meg for free before you have to cough up dosh.

So... the search results got to 63 Word documents found, and I could only really recover one of them, all carefully and unhelpfully now labelled MsWord.doc.

Pot luck.... And out of the hat containing 63 files comes.....

The file I needed!
